RJ Food Consulting

I have a real passion for food and have worked across several sectors of the industry from an early age. Through school and college, I worked in a deli and restaurants, and then after my undergraduate degree I followed my passion and trained and worked as a chef for 6 years.

I then decided to move into the food manufacturing industry, completing a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition to give me access to the sector. I worked in commercial and technical sales teams for 11 years, most recently leading the UK Food Business at a leading global ingredients distributor. In my final 3 years in this role, I became heavily involved with food safety through the BRCGS certification process. We maintained a AA rating for three consecutive years and I discovered my interest and aptitude for food safety management. After deciding this is the area I wanted to work in, I have gained qualifications and experience, setting up my own business and supporting companies with their food safety needs.

From my time across various food industry sectors, I have in-depth knowledge of the complexity of food supply chains and can apply my understanding to food safety. I am solution focused and thoroughly enjoy working with my customers to help them achieve their goals.
